From growing up just minutes from Pure Blossom to building one of New Jersey’s most thoughtful edible brands, we sat down with Holidayze founder Alexa Hunt to talk her new summer flavors, local favorites, motherhood and why seasonal gummies became her obsession.

A Titusville native, she now lives in Hunterdon County only 20 minutes from where she grew up. When she’s not working, here are a few of her favorite spots:
- Grabbing a cocktail at Under the Moon in Lambertville.
- Walking the bridge between Lambertville and New Hope and straddling the state lines.
- Exploring Washington Crossing State Park and and exploring local playgrounds with her kids.
Giving Cannabis A Second Chance
“I’m a rule follower. I never got high other than one time at a New Year’s Eve party before it was mainstream. I hated it (smoking).”

Before legalization, cannabis wasn’t something she ever imagined becoming part of her life. But once it became legal in New Jersey, Alexa began looking for a more natural way to manage her anxiety. At the same time, the conversation around cannabis started to shift. Friends and family became more open to it, new consumption methods became available and Alexa decided to give it another shot, this time with an edible. “It was a completely different experience,” she says. “It felt controlled, approachable and it made me curious. I started exploring and learning about different brands and strains.”
The Gummy That Didn’t Exist
“I don’t want to be taking a gingered apple pie gummy in the spring, and I don’t want to be taking cherry water ice in the fall.”

The idea for Holidayze started with a family Christmas party. “I decided that for our White Elephant that year, I was going to bring gummies and see who fought for them. I thought it would be hysterical. It was either going to be my younger cousins calling dibs or my older aunts and great uncles,” Alexa explained.
As she was shopping, “I was looking for something seasonal and even went to three different dispensaries in the area. The closest thing I could find was a sparkling pear. There was nothing dedicated to giving people flavors that actually matched the time of year.”
It wasn’t long before the search for seasonal gummies became the inspiration for creating them.
Finding the Right Partner
According to Alexa, “I actually started with Melt to Make while I was looking for a manufacturer. They were helping me with R&D, some flavor development, and gummy bases. At the same time, Anthony Campbell from Culture Craft, who’s a food scientist by trade, had reached out to them because he wanted to expand into gummies. They connected us and it ended up being the perfect fit.
The balance between the flavor that is intended to come through in the gummies and the rosin hasn’t been a problem. I think we’ve really found a way to balance it. Some gummies let more of the rosin come through for people who enjoy that profile, while others let the flavor take the lead.”
Quality Rosin Gummies
“I started with distillate because I thought people trying edibles for the first time probably wouldn’t want that cannabis flavor coming through. But it really contradicted my mission to be very clean and very pure. I moved to rosin for a cleaner infusion and a higher quality high. The head feels better. It hits a little faster.”

For Alexa, quality means:
- Consistency – Every gummy should deliver a reliable experience, batch after batch.
- Purity – Only food-derived flavors and colors, no artificial ingredients and thoughtfully sourced ingredients whenever possible.
- Vision – Holidayze isn’t about creating a new need. It’s about elevating the moments already celebrated.
Plant Parenting
“There’s a perception that anyone, including mothers who use cannabis, isn’t as engaged or involved in their children’s or family’s lives. But I actually find the opposite to be true when you consume responsibly.
I feel lighter. I feel more focused on what’s happening right in front of me after I’ve taken a gummy, for example. I would never put my kids in a situation where they’re compromised. I don’t drive when I’m high or anything like that and I tend to partake when it’s time for the whole house to wind down.
It doesn’t change who I am. It just tunes out noise and hones in on the personality traits that make me a more involved and more present person overall.”

Alexa wears a lot of hats. She’s a mom of two, works full-time in advertising and somehow still has time to Holidayze by herself. Her biggest cheerleaders are her children, who love learning what running a business is like and seeing their mom build one of her own.
Fun fact: She married her high school sweetheart.
For parents who are curious about cannabis but unsure, Alexa’s advice is simple:
“First and foremost, I want everyone to respect their own feelings. If you’re thinking, ‘No, it’s not for me anymore. I’m a mom,’ that’s totally okay. Everyone’s comfort level is different and I think it’s important to honor that.
But our generation grew up with it being an illegal substance. We had D.A.R.E. and we had our parents telling us it was the start of an addictive trend. Now that it is legal, people can re-educate themselves and see how it can naturally fit into their lives or even in some ways enhance their lives.”

We love supporting local brands and indie growers. They’re often the ones obsessing over the ingredients, dialing in every detail, and never settling for “good enough.” That’s exactly why Holidayze found a home with us.
“I want to work with people who believe in the product. Of course, price comes into it, but to me, partnerships are about people who have a mutual respect for the product and the vision. I want people to sell something they genuinely believe is good quality because, at the end of the day, their customers are taking it home and they want to build a continued business, too,” says Alexa.

“I’d love for people to continue following us, especially on Instagram. That’s where I share a lot of our news. We’ll be leaning into summer over the next few months, and then we’re going to do something a little different for fall and winter this year. We’ll still have seasonal flavors, but we may shake things up a bit compared to last year.
More than anything, I want people to celebrate their day-to-day. I want people to find those little wins and little reasons to celebrate in their lives with us. That’s really the whole reason I’m here. Whether it’s winter, spring, summer or fall, we have something that fits the vibe.”
